The Terrible Two's

How I love the Terrible Two's now!  I am experienceing this most wonderful stage of life through the eyes of a Grandma.  I forgot how unreasonable and loud a 2 year old could be when he doesn't get to hold the violin and run wildly around the house.  I forgot how a two year old likes to do artwork on the freshly painted renovated house.  I forgot how the 2 year old chooses the white bedspread to drink his apple juice sippy cup on. ( that leaks everywhere )  I forgot how  a two year loves to eat rice all on his own and when he is done there is an outline of his body on the chair.  I forgot how a two year old insists on licking all of grandmas windows and mirrored tables!  And the best part is when its time for him to leave to go home, he heads out the door, looks back and says "See ya guys and I love you Grandma."  It is then at that moment as I stand there in my now slightly used home that I wish he didn't have to go.   I always look forward to the moment I open up the front door and there he stands ready to enter and start it all over again.  Yes,  life just doesn't get better.

He says "see you guys." That is so cute. I miss his terrible little two cuteness!

Denise you are such a sweet grandma. You know you may not have forgotten quite as much as you think,,,,isn't this your first 2 year old "boy experience"??? My grandson was 8 weeks yesterday.....I can't wait for all the fun.

I love your blog....what a great idea

I know how you feel. We have 18 grandchildren so our house is well used and abused but I love it. It's good to see them come and it's good to see them go knowing they will be back soon.
